Yappy Tails Pet Sitting Services started in 1999. It was started to address the needs in the growing community of Bradenton, FL. The owner Mary Lupi has been involved in animal welfare since her arrival from New York City to her Florida paradise. Her passion is pets, hers and everyone else's. She is the go to gal, about any animal issues. She served as the president of the Humane Society of Manatee County for 3 years, and turned the fledging shelter from a ladies club into an innovative organization that now has thousands of adoption a year. She was involved in hurricane animal rescue after Hurricane Charley devastated parts of our community in 2004. Mary has proven herself to be a great asset to Manatee County.
Yappy Tails has a client list of hundreds of satisfied clients. Naturally there have been many humorous moments. One of her first clients had the 7 bark rule, and then there is the hilarious anecdote about taking a hundred and fifty pound Great Dane to a dogpark, not knowing it was afraid of motorcycles, till it was in her lap. There are the stories of sick pets being taken to the vet, and virtually having their lives saved as a result of Mary's expertise and diligence.
Yappy Tails has 10 pet sitters available to service all of Manatee and Sarasota Counties. These pet sitters have all had training in all aspects of petsitting. They all have been given background checks, and are bonded and insured. All of these pet sitters love animals and it shows by all the praises by the pet's owners. Mary and her gang have taken care of many different pets, from an Oprah loving pot bellied pig to exotics such as snakes and lizards.
The services that are available range from mid day walks to overnight pet sitting, done in the client's homes. This option works best with households that have multiple pets, since the price is then comparable to boarding at a kennel. Yappy Tails can transport your pet to the vet, to the airport or the groomer.
Everyone's question is how much does it cost. The rates vary depending on the circumstances. Overnight pet sitting is generally over $50.00 per night, and a once a day visit to take care of a cat can be as low as $15.00 per visit. Prices for a daily dog walk can be more affordable if a contract is signed for a weekly commitment.
